One of the major means of evangelization and spread of the Goodnews is Education. The early Missionaries came with education when they came to evangelize Nigeria. They built schools and offered education for the natives. Every Catholic Church established came with a Catholic School and right now we have over 45 schools in our Diocese that has Catholic foundation and establishment. However, in the 1970's the Government took over all the schools and they have mismanaged a lot of them. In order to continue the mission started by the early missionaries, we have been able to rebuild and establish new schools in order to give our children the solid Catholic wholistic formation and education. As a Diocese we have Four (4) Middle and High schools and Eight (8) Elementary Schools where we give holistic education to children. Our schools are made up of children from different religious and cultural backgrounds. In fact, we have more non-Catholics in our schools than Catholics. The aim of this structure is to be able to instill in the children the value of peace and religious and ethnic tolerance since they live in a diverse cultural environment. Furthermore, due to the poor nature of the environment where we serve, we still have lots of children who are unable to go to school due to the fact that their parents cannot afford the school fees. We try to accommodate many of this Children in our schools and give them solid education and the support they need to get good education. We try to provide them with the basics and scholarship they need to have a good training while with us. This can be difficult at times, since we do not have the means and resources to train many of the Children. Thus, we need you to help us adopt a child and sponsor the child in any of our Catholic Schools. If you will be interested in adopting a child, kindly fill the form below and we will reach out to you. To train and adopt a child for one year cost $500 USD. Please, consider this and join us in forming these children.
